Here's another quick DIY for a backdrop. This backdrop is good for tight or half body shots (from the waist up). I typically try to match clothing with the backdrop. In this concept, I wanted something glittery that sparkles. So, I made a backdrop out of champagne glitter scrapbook paper that I got on sale at Hobby Lobby for $1/sheet. I used about 24, so, all together I'd say not bad at all.
I grabbed some modge podge and applied glue using a paint brush on the back of each paper and glued it to a 6 x 4 polystyrene board I had been using as a reflector. The trick is, you will need to make sure all the paper is glued in one direction, otherwise, you can end up with different textured parts or shades, depending on how the light hits the paper. In my case, I made the price tag on the back of the paper my guide, and made sure they were all at the bottom left corner when I glued it on.
After letting it dry for a couple of hours, it was ready. In these shots, I used all natural light, a reflector, and a background light to make it sparkle! The sequin dress was an added plus!
