...was a busy day. I woke up and got ready to head to the airport to catch my flight to El Paso. I travelled with my friend Michelle as a girls trip and a short getaway from the DFW humidity. Yeah we knew that the desert would be scorching as well, but at least we knew it would be dry heat!
We were both tired, since the day before, we also did the Disney Princess shoot in Terrell. But we get to work our creative juices...and we are always up for that.
We arrived at El Paso, and drove to Alamogordo, straight to White Sands National Monument in the late afternoon. It was hot. There were about 25 photographers who showed up. The park rangers (I think that's what they were called) kept advising us to drink water. But after working about 30 minutes, it wasn't so bad. The sun had started to set, and most of us decided to take off our shoes, which was surprisingly cooler on our feet!
The sand was beautiful, and the sun was gorgeous! I had lucky sun flare shots and the golden glow on a few. Here are a few of my favorites from the shoot! I could go back! But before that, don't forget to tune in for the rest of my White Sands adventure!
